NCFE Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training



CIIE, Approved Centre of NCFE and CACHE (Permit No. 8467156), offers NCFE Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training as part the requirements for the Teacher Preparation Qualification which prepares trainees/teachers to teach in a range of contexts.

There is a significant practice requirement as this qualification will assess, and provide evidence of, competence when undertaking teaching and/or training responsibilities. The objective of the qualification is to confirm occupational competence in a teaching role within the workplace.

Structure: Learners must achieve a minimum of 120 credits: 75 from the mandatory units and a minimum of 45 from the optional units. There are four mandatory units within the qualification:

2 Developing teaching, learning and assessment in education and training 20 credits
3 Theories, principles and models in education and training 20 credits
4 Wider professional practice and development in education and training 15 credits

Below are the suggested optional units and learners will complete a minimum of three optional units.

The delivery of the qualification will be through a blended learning model including site training, online learning, e-Portfolio powered by Laser Systems to get the best learning experience for learners, assessors, IQAs and administrators.

Practice Hours & Assessments

There is a requirement for a minimum of 100 hours of practice and a requirement to evidence working with groups of learners to achieve this qualification. Learners must also provide evidence of 8 hours of teaching observations. These can be provided as part of an internal observation, peer observations or video evidence of teaching practice.


On successful completion of the qualification learners will receive certification from NCFE UK and attested by KHDA, Dubai.


Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
